I have great news! The 488th Banner is now in my possession!!! Melissa
Johnston McCoy found it in a tube in RM's studio and mailed it to me on
Monday! She had been looking for something folded so Melissa was supprised
when she opened the red tube on Friday morning. She called me at 6:15
California time. I was happy to get up and managed to stay awake the whole
day.
It is in pristine condition. The signatures of the 488th alums are there
including Col. Tic Tokaz and other 340th Group commanders. They date from
1984 at Dayton. I most absurdly will bring it to SF.
